With 35 years construction experience, Simon's career progressed from starting out as a trainee quantity surveyor to founding Readie Construction Ltd in 2007 where he spent 10 years as Commercial Director. Simon possesses considerable experience with managing and growing a business to achieve both financial stability and strong governance. In 2015 and 2016 the company was recognised by the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table which lists Britain's private companies with the largest growing sales. The company achieved positions of 52/100 and 59/100 respectively.
Before deciding to move on and selling his major shareholding in 2017, the company had a turnover of more than £100 million with 90 employees and their largest project secured up to that date was £37 million.
Since 2017 Simon has pursued other business opportunities and interests. Outside of work Simon enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, scuba diving, skiing, golf, motorsports and following his favourite football team.
